•Recommends and plans student engagement initiatives, programs and services.
•Oversees the Council of Chartered Organizations (CCOs)
•Assists in developing and fostering leadership programs among students
•Oversees programs related to student leadership and governance groups (SGA/CCO) that create an environment in which the student are offered distinct engagement and leadership opportunities.
•Advises student leaders in coordination to, and planning of, CAU-sponsored events and/or activities and developing leadership development opportunities campus wide.
•Assists with major Leadership and Development programs for Fall, Spring and summer semesters.
•Assists in ensuring effectiveness of the student leadership development program.
•Assists in developing and implementing the annual Student Leadership Institute.
•Oversees major student activity programs for Fall, Spring and Summer semesters.
•Assists in monitoring the budgeting process for all SGA/CCO events and activities.
•Serves as the Secondary Advisor of the Student Government Association (SGA) and Miss CAU and her Court.
•Provides guidance and support to both groups and in an effort to facilitate related programs and events for the student body.
•Supervise the election process for Student Government Association executive council members.
•Organize on-going professional development and pre-fall/pre-spring training for SGA executive council members and Miss CAU and her Court.
•Assists in assessing student learning outcomes.
•Assists in creating and implementing Advisor Training
•Serves as the co-advisor for Campus Activities Board (CAB), assisting them to plan and implement programs to meet students' needs and interests and build community.
•Assists in the development and implementation of evaluation and assessment tools for programs in the Department of Leadership & Student Development.
•Serves as the Student Affairs Divisional point-person to meet with students interested in starting new clubs and assist them through the Student Affairs recognition procedures.
•Assists in coordinates all leadership development programming for the Pan-Hellenic Council, including Future Greek Leaders, annual officer transition training, etc
•Effective oral and written communication skills;
•Organizational and time management skills including the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines;
•Ability to work effectively and collegially with students, administrators, faculty, staff, parents, and alumni;
•Proficiency in information technology including MS Office and BANNER;
•Experience with student planning and leadership development.
