As an Assistant Store Manager I am responsible for overall store condition each day. As the Customer Experience Manager I focus on both internal & external customer experience. I also set daily goals and plans for the front line to acquire credit card applications.These satisfaction scores & application results are reviewed weekly with the team. It is my job to find ways to motivate, coach and meet goals set from corporate. Each year I have exceeded goals. I am in charge of interviewing, on-boarding & training of all new associates. I schedule training of new hires with mentors, schedule skills testing & follow up to ensure understanding. The number of associates fluctuates from 100-140 depending on the time of year. I monitor attendance, that procedures are being followed and deliver coaching or corrective action as needed. I also deliver annual reviews. I assist in scheduling. That means I have to know the needs of the store from the backroom operations to the front end execution. I have to know & enforce the merchandising standards of both TJMaxx & Home Goods since the store is a superstore. This also means separate sales and inventory reports weekly. I use these reports to plan displays and track department sales. I truly believe in an open door policy. I believe in servitude leadership to support my team. This in turn, with intentional training, motivates them to support the needs of the business.
Throughout my career, I have been involved in charity events. At least 2 times a year I set up a charity event for associates to contribute their time or donations. It is important for me to support those that need it.
As a Team Leader for Target, I managed the Bakery department. I also managed the Deli intermittently. I provided support not only to my direct supervisor and the store manager but also to my peer Team Leaders. I directly managed 8-12 Team Members. My responsibilities include ordering, stocking, completing schedules each week and adhering to all food safety regulations. I was responsible for completing annual reviews for my team and completing any corrective action reports as needed to address food safety or Team Member issues. I also had the pleasure of giving feedback and recognition to Team members. I would track sales, then implement plans to increase those sales and profit. I was responsible for completing Bakery inventory quarterly and results were positive showing good controls for the department. Along with creating a fresh, full and inviting environment, I helped guests each day to have a good experience along with addressing their concerns. I also received cross training at the guest service area and planogram teams. I really enjoy learning all aspect of the environment in which I work, to do the best job possible for the guests.

As a store manager, my responsibilities included creating plans, goals and objectives for a staff of 30 employees, including pharmacy personnel. Daily operations included providing feedback, recognition and motivation to all employees. I was required to obtain & maintain a Pharmacy technician certification each year. This ensured my continued education on pharmacy requirements and drug information. I was also responsible for ensuring that our customers had a positive experience which was graded by receipt surveys within the store. My surveys consistently exceeded District Goal. I was responsible for the hiring and evaluation of staff as needed. I worked closely with the District leadership as instructed with monthly initiatives and follow through on my responsibilities. I am an excellent communicator and work to build a team environment while supporting my staff in achieving positive store results, including the pharmacy. These skills allowed our team to achieve some of the best customer satisfaction scores and sales in the region.
