During Hurricane Sandy, Meredith Ave depot was destroyed , I moved the fleet to an alternate location , combined the maintenance and administration in Charleston depot and continued operations of both depots while repairs were underway . During The Blackout in August 2003, I operated Amsterdam depot, the oldest depot in NYC Transit , and fueled 103 buses for next days service without electric or benefit of a generator by using air pressure from a bus , rigging up a temporary fuel station and portable pumps .
