Performs and supervise direct support maintenance on M1A1 Abrams tank and M2A2 Bradley Line Replaceable Units (LRU); performs initial and final inspections on all LRUs and fire control systems; employs applicable testing and diagnostic procedures in accordance with appropriate technical manuals; utilize special tools and test equipment; Performs all maintenance and troubleshooting and select on-board direct support tasks i.e., major assembly replacement to include the turret and fire control, engine, transmission, suspension.
Utilize current test equipment in troubleshooting LRU's and make appropriate repairs internal to the component.
Support testing and training evolutions and assist with weapon maintenance and firing of various weapon systems.

Section lead of Yuma Proving Grounds (YPG) Threat Systems and Target Simulation Section. (Yuma Proving Ground Limited Test Officer)
In support of the this section, consult, plan and coordinate with YPG's Test Officers as well as customers outside of YPG proper. Coordination is in direct support of current U.S. Army Testing and training missions as well as customers requesting support to meet testing and training requirements.
Schedule and supervise testing and training exercises in varying levels of complexity both on YPG Range's as well as testing and training ranges throughout the United States and abroad (OCONUS).
Conducted Liaison with the United States Marine Corps Yuma, Marine Aviation and Weapons Tactics Squadron (MAWTS-1) to provide training support packages from YPG. This in support of Bi-annual training evolutions that encompass multiple training ranges in the Southwestern United States (Arizona/California). Support included live fire range target design, fabrication and insertion of targets. Planning in conjunction with multiple unit coordinators within MAWTS-1 to provide training elements (threat systems) and scenarios throughout this course. Planning included the support required/desired, movement of such equipment to various ranges, safe execution of the evolution utilizing manpower from YPG as well as the post evolution removal of all equipment back to YPG.
Maintain and foster this relationship by analyzing previous and current training requirements and providing suggestions for continued future support.
Provide documentation as required as a Limited Test Officer to include drafting Test Plans, exercise plans, utilizing Microsoft Project Management tools (PMM) to provide cost estimates to customers as well as Event Records at the completion of each event. Participate in test readiness reviews, hazardous analysis working groups and safety review boards. Ensure all safety measures and protocols are adhered to at all times in accordance with current range safety regulations.
Operate and maintain target vehicles and threat systems, including Yuma Proving Ground systems, threat surrogates, and the U.S. Army Target Management Office (TMO) fleet. Maintenance includes all required inspections, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and associated troubleshooting and diagnostics. Operations includes operating threat systems, targets, target vehicles with intergraded systems during tests and training missions often in the field or tactical environment/setting.
Responsible for performing training of less experienced employees/co-workers in all levels of maintenance (operator/crew and organizational) to include repairs of major components overhaul on hull, turrets, and communication systems in accordance with appropriate technical manuals. Inspect all section maintenance actions and annotate on proper forms as well as record all replacement parts and time on applicable work orders. Maintain current secret clearance as well as class A commercial drivers license within the state of Arizona.
