Experience
Area Superintendent, 09/2003 - 08/2015
Electric Boat Philadelphia, PA,
  • Mid-Continent (Oklahoma and Texas Panhandle).
  • I supervised five field foremen, 20 company lease operators and 2 clerks.
  • I was responsible for the supervision of these employees and all aspects of work done on oil, gas and saltwater disposal wells.
  • I was responsible for invoices and controlling cost in the area.
  • The area consists of approximately 525 wells which are oil and gas wells, both vertical and horizontal with low and high pressure situations.
  • These wells had high and low gas and fluid volumes.
  • I supervised completions, battery and pipeline construction and startups of the wells.
  • This included supervision of stimulations and coil tubing jobs on the new horizontal wells.
  • I supervised the maintenance and installation of pumping units and gas lift systems.
  • I designed an H2S contactor that reduced the cost of H2S chemical by 30% in treating H2S.
  • I spent one month in Montana and North Dakota to stand in as temporary supervisor.
  • This area had 20 employees with oil and air injection wells.
  • I have dealt with all government agencies on environmental and lease issues.
Area Supervisor, 2000 - 09/2003
Massachusetts Water Resources Authority Winthrop, MA,
  • Texas Panhandle.
  • Supervisor of 40 people including Field Foremen, Technicians, Mechanics, Lease Operators, Plant Operators and Clerks.
  • I was responsible for budgeting all aspects of the area and controlling costs.
  • The area consists of Natural Gas booster Stations with liquid handling and pipeline cleaning equipment, 140 well head screw compressors, Cooper Horizontal Station compressors, Ariel Compressors and Caterpillar Engines.
  • Responsible for overseeing overhauls of Caterpillar engines of sizes up to 3408 at this facility.
  • Supervised Foremen regarding all workovers and clean outs of laterals.
  • Also supervised drilling of laterals and was responsible for the drilling, completion and tying in of 54 wells in 70 days.
  • The majority of the wells in this area are operated on extreme vacuums of up to 20" HG with one or two laterals drilled in each wellbore.
  • With the age of these wells there was a need to determine the condition of the casing and there were some tools left in the wells from the cable tool rigs causing production problems.
  • I designed and supervised the construction of a video camera holder that we were able to run in wells with the sand-line of the workover rig.
  • The video determined the condition of the casing and/or problems with some of the wells enabling us to efficiently correct problems that were not possible without the video.
  • This holder saved expenses on rig time by enabling us to see what the problem was before determining the procedure to correct the problem.
  • I also took part in designing a way to increase the vacuum pulled on the wells by two staging the compression.
  • We added a Liquid Ring compressor ahead of the Screw compressor which increased the vacuum from 16"to 20" HG which gave us incremental production.
  • I directly dealt with State and Federal Agencies with success in relation to Environmental issues and pipeline and facility audits.
Field Foreman, 08/1999 - 2000
Mastec Inc. Itasca, IL,
  • Supervised lease operators and mechanics.
  • I also supervised over Booster station compressors and pipelines.
  • This equipment included Cooper Bessemer and White Superior compressors.
  • I supervised crews on several pipeline installations and pipeline reconfiguration jobs.
Field Foreman, 01/1996 - 08/1999
Foothills Park And Recreation District Denver, CO,

  • I have experience with up to 5 workover rigs running each day.
  • I was the foreman over 2 existing water floods and over the installation of one water flood from conception.
  • This included all injection facilities, gathering lines and converting producing wells to injection wells.
  • I initiated and supervised a well optimization program on all deep oil and gas wells in the area.
  • This program increased production on some wells by 10%-40%.
  • This was achieved by determining certain wells to be fluid loaded and procedures to remove the fluid.
  • This was accomplished by chemical foamers or on/off time optimization.
  • Flowing and pumping wells were optimized by reducing down time and run optimization.
  • I designed a mud anchor that changed the fluid flow direction several times to decrease the downtime from gas locking and solids entering the downhole pumps.
Lease Operator, 11/1993 - 01/1996
Diamondback Energy Oklahoma City, OK,
  • I operated many oil and gas leases with the main concentration on oil.
  • Operated and maintained pumping units from sizes of 40 to 640 with electric motors and Ajax and Arrow gas engines.
  • Operated leases up to 500 BOPD with various treating and separation equipment.
  • I operated various styles and sizes of gas compressors for casing head gas and shallow gas wells.
