I continuously kept up to date on all Policy and Procedure Manual (PPM) changes regarding office procedures, cash register procedures and all departmental store procedures as well as keeping employees informed of PPM updates. I oversaw the weekly meetings with cashiers and managers. Maintained consistent communication of any changes to the cashiers and managers such as action memos, project memos or pertinent information regarding front registers. Provided weekly input for 23 departmental order books that requires keying of over 5500 item numbers. This task utilizes the computer 10 key method. As the Department head, I maintained adequate stock in my department. This includes ordering and putting out freight and passing monthly stock tests. There was constant contact with primary manager and co-manager regarding inventory, sales and daily business functions. -As an assistant manager my responsibilities included all of the previous duties as well as store key holder in which I supervised opening and closing procedures and maintained constant supervision of no less that 10 people and up to 30 people in the absence of the manager. Responsibilities also included handling any customer service issues and loss prevention issues as well as successfully maintaining a continuously smooth work environment absent of the manager and keeping her informed of any and all occurrences during her absence.
