Our quiet town of 6700 people grows every year for approximately 10 days to 300,000 people who come to partake in the World's Largest Motorcycle Rally. For the past 5 years our dispatch center pulls together and handles approximately 8 times the calls volume that we are accustomed to without any outside assistance. Each dispatcher will handle up to 20 units at a time on 1 or 2 channels of traffic.
As a Meade County Sheriffs Office- 911 Telecommunications Dispatchers- For 5 years I have been in charge of keeping track of all employee EMD certifications in our center. Receive and process 911 emergency calls, along with non emergency calls for service, monitor radio frequencies, check welfare status and location of units.
Monitor computer screens, while efficiently gathering, prioritizing and documenting caller information, and asking vital questions while interpreting or analyzing the callers situation in order to resolve or send appropriate public safety agencies.
Operate a multi-line telephone console system, alarm systems, and TTY system for the hearing impaired.
Translate and or interpret information for the appropriate codes and assign the level of priority of the call, enter data, including important details into computer aided dispatch system for radio dispatch process.
Perform emergency medical dispatch and crisis intervention services, which included vital questions and provide pre-arrival instructions for medical calls.
Monitor and operate a radio console and computer equipment.

Work with clients to identify their financial goals and to find ways of reaching those goals. Review loan agreements to ensure that they are complete and accurate according to policy, and compute payment schedules. Financial decision making, overseeing accounts, and daily face to face interaction with customers, and handle disgruntled customers either in person or on the phone.
