On several different jobs I've had to certify for welding structure by taking coupon test, and x-ray. Though these test were not formally taken at a school, they were still required in order to weld on certain jobs. I've help build everything from high rise buildings to chemical plants. I've worked in several different construction situations and have safely completed each job. I feel that it is important to mention that I try to stay safety minded. When I worked for Century Contractors I was hired as a millwright, but I was involved in welding, learning instruments as well as other trades on site. My immediate supervisor appreciated the fact that when my job was, for whatever reason was held up or slow, that I was helping other trades. Little did he know that I truly enjoyed getting to explore other trades. Aside from steel, I also framed houses for seven years. That was also a trade that I appreciated the knowledge that I gained. Since then I've built my own buildings and helped family and friends do various projects. Having the knowledge to accomplish these projects, and to know that they are done correctly is a very satisfying feeling. In my spare time I enjoy hobby wood work, fishing, and doing activities with my church. these hobbies, most of the time, gives me the benefit of spending time with my family. My family, in my opinion, is my greatest accomplishment. my time spent with them is my most valued time.
