Makes routine inspections of plant equipment and records on daily check list, read meters and gauges and records operating information necessary to document shift processes and to evaluate operating characteristics. Take daily required samples and make routine qualitative and quantitative chemical and biochemical analysis of water and wastewater by standardized and predetermined methods as prescribed in the book of standard methods. Make necessary mathematical computations, prepare standard reagents and chemical solutions, filter and weigh samples preparatory to analysis. Clean and assemble laboratory apparatus and glassware.Record test data and keep records pertaining to analysis as required by regulating agencies.
