  • 3) Additionally the Austin dealership (Onion Creek) was several weeks behind on VW warranty claim submission, consisting of 200 plus claims pending submission, also there were approx. 350 claims in SAGA pending correction. With lots of research all claims were resolved to dealerships satisfaction.

  • 2) Current warranty program was only paying at 70% of claims submitted due to warranty submission assigned to cashier that had no warranty knowledge or training, by taking responsibilities of ALL warranty claims from creation to submission I was able to maintain pay rate of 96% to 100% during 1996-1997 and maintained district rating in TOP 10%.
  • 3) Maintained NSI within TOP 15% of both district and regional comparisons. By maintaining HIGH NSI scores and HIGH warranty pay rates, dealership won NISSAN CHAIRMANS AWARD for 1996. This was first and only time that Bates Nissan has won this prestigious award.
  • 4) Recognized need and implemented purchase of Hunter Alignment System to enhance shops ability to provide customer better service in-house rather than by sublet shop.
  • 5) Implemented a in-house rental fleet through Nissan (7 vehicles) to better facilitate customers needs and increase revenue
  • 6) Supervised an AUDIT concerning the C22 VAN REPURCHASE PROGRAM totaling over $50k, After reviewing RO's with the correct information posted on RO as per Nissan P&P resulted in a ZERO charge back.
  • 7) Took corrective action upon notification that dealership had failed to obtain "DEALER SELF-INSPECTION" status for Maxima/300Z Injector Campaign with possibilities of several thousand dollars being charged back to dealership.
  • Through proper documentation and correct administration of warranty guidelines for injector campaign, factory personal were provided with documentation that dealership was in fact given self-authorization status and maintained zero failure rate during third-party inspection procedures earlier in campaign, resulting in ZERO chargeback to dealership.

  • POSITION HELD:
  • Started as Service Adviser/Writer and worked my way up to Service Manager after 6 Months. Supervise 2 service writers,6 certified Ford Technicians, 1 lube Technician, 3 Body Shop Technicians and 1 Shuttle Driver.
  • Accomplishments:
  • 1) Implemented and maintained 95% and higher warranty pay rate per month from existing warranty claim program that consisted of over 100 warranty claims unaccounted for or lost within dealership, and 150 claims in progress, either pending parts and or customer. Of 100 lost claims dealership, 90 claims were submitted and paid and remaining 10 claims were rejected by Ford with no alternative but to write claims off. And as far as the 150 claims that were (in progress) I monitored on daily bases all warranty claims and managed open claims resulting in only 3 unpaid warranty claims (submitted) on my last day of employment with COVE FORD on 11/1994.
  • 2) Increased Service Dept. overall Service Customer Satisfaction QCP index scores by 20%
  • 3) Coordinated and supervised factory paint inspection (AUDIT) imposed on all Ford dealerships involved in warranty program to repaint F-Series pickup trucks with defective paint.
  • Dealership was prepared for audit and presented to FORD inspector in most professional manner resulting in only 1 warranty claim flagged for charge back due to (paint to thick) and after negotiating with inspector, dealership agreed to strip and repaint vehicle to Ford factory spec, sending inspector VCR tape of truck after paint striped to bare metal, and after truck was painted, resulting in no charge backs concerning F-Series paint claims.
  • 4) Assisted dealership in facility makeover to 75% completion rate before leaving to accept employment at Bates Nissan. I was able to save dealership cost to maintain and move their telephone system during construction, with input on electrical and general building construction procedures concerning facility makeover.
  • 5) Supervised training and achieved dealerships FIRST Master Technician.
