In Washington state at different times over the past 20 years I have worked in sales and retail.
I have owned and run my own business since 2010.
I have had both volunteer and paid positions in the community as an athletic coached and have volunteered my time, energy and abilities to grow food to donate to the community.
While living in the midwest, I taught in the after school and summer athletic programs and the YMCA in Des Moines, IA.
This is a one year, 15 credit program that certifies students in the study and application of Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems. These credits will be applied towards my transferrable AA.
This was a one year program through WSU in horticulture and I also completed enough hours of volunteer service to earn my Master Gardener's certificate as well.

I love gardening and growing organic, healthy food for my family, neighbors and friends. I also an certified in sustainable agriculture and food systems and can do consulting, on-site inspections for energy flows, zones and microclimates to create a permaculture based design for sustainable, healthy growth of perennial and annual food systems.
I love to read. My favorite nonfiction subjects are of course sustainability and gardening, mini farming that includes both plants and farm animals such as goats, sheep, ducks, chickens, rabbits, horses and honeybees, nutrition, healthy living, exercise, any hands on and creative subjects like cooking, baking, fiber arts such as spinning, knitting and crocheting. My favorite fiction authors are Tolkien, CS Lewis, Edgar Allan Poe, and Stephen King. I also love hiking, backpacking and camping in the mountains here or anywhere we might visit. So far my favorite hike was to the top of Mt. Ellinor.
