  • Provided direct outreach to Michigan veterans by providing benefits, program and resources information available to veterans to veterans’ service organizations, meetings, conferences, and other outreach and external events with stakeholders.
  • Provided direct advisement with 1 Federal VA Regional Office,  2 Medical centers,  2 Outpatient Clinics, 4 Vet Centers and 3 Community Mental Health programs in order to enhance communication, awareness and collaboration.  
  • Presented 8 public speaking platforms to inform 4 counties of veteran agencies on the vet center programs. 
  • Participated/Supported 7 Army National Guard drill weekends in order to connect vet center services to the veterans and their families. 
  • Personally connected 37 veteran families to the Macomb Vet Center for services related to PTSD, Military Sexual Trauma, Marriage and Family Therapy and Bereavement support.

  • Directly influenced the payment of Burial Allowances for each deceased County Veteran from 800 to 1500 cases annually.

  • Directly impacted monthly, quarterly and annual expenditures from the Soldiers Relief fund which increased from an annual expenditure of $750,000 to 1.47 million dollars in my 22 month tenure.
  • Collaborated with members of local corporations, city/county leaders and private entities to develop and implement a 501c3 specifically designed for program awareness, fund raising and to provide support in emergent situations to peace time veterans and their families that do not qualify for other government programs.
  • Developed/presented over 60 presentations to County Commissioners, Detroit City Council and the Deputy Mayor regarding veteran related initiatives, collaboration progress and statistics.
  • Directly responsible for securing over 20,000 dollars of donations in order to support unique veteran needs.
