  • Sonar Technician Leading Chief Petty Officer which held the responsibility of development and training of 14 junior personnel and 15 junior officers on the proper operation of the AN/BQQ-10 ARCI Sonar System, Tactical Use of the Ocean Environment, Target Motion Analysis, as well as repair and maintenance of a very complex interconnected LINUX based Sonar System.
  • Independently planned, implemented and coordinated all divisional maintenance ensuring the submarine was ready to getunderway and meet all operational commitments unrestricted.
  • During a 6 month period held the position of the Leading Chief Petty Officer for the Fire Control, Sonar, and Torpedo divisions due to the unplanned loss of the Torpedo and Fire Control division Chief Petty Officers.
  • During this time there was a complete rip-out and reinstall of the Sonar system, the Fire Control system, as well as creating and operating Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyards first Ship's Extended Worksite (SEWS).
