6 Week EMC Data Protection Residency – Montreal Canada: The design and implementation of an EMC BRS infrastructure, including Networker 9.2, Avamar 7.4 and Data Domain DD9800 appliances for a Canadian National Bank. The solution comprised 4 Networker Data zones, 4 Networker Servers per Data Zone (Management Console, Storage Node, License Server and Backup Server), 128 Networker VMWare Proxy Appliances, 4 Avamar Gen4T Supernodes, 8 Avamar VE NDMP Accelerator Nodes and 4 Data Domain DD9800 Data Protection Appliances. The infrastructure as designed and rolled out enabled protection of over 3,000 VMWare Virtual Machines, 120 Physical Systems (Including MS SQL and RHEL based Oracle Systems) and 47TB of Network Data (CIFS) served by 4 EMC Unity 300F All Flash Arrays.
-5 Month EMC Data Protection Residency – Fairfield California: The support and reclamation of 4 EMC Avamar, Data Domain Production environments for a California based Major Public Utility. Objectives included stabilizing production Avamar infrastructure, ranging from 7.1 through 7.5. Customer request for reduce failure rate of Avamar backup and replication jobs from over 70% to under 5%. Failure states in each Avamar instance investigated for root cause analysis and where necessary, service requests opened with EMC. In addition to reclamation work, customer requested the creation of comprehensive “Run-Book”, covering all standard and day to day administration tasks which take place on a regular basis within a normally functioning Avamar and Data Domain Data Protection and Recovery environment. Residency running 5 months.
