MillerCoors University offered continuing education courses for development of managerial and employment skills,of which I completed:
-7 Habits of Highly Effective People
-5 Choices to Extraordinary Productivity
-Safety in Motion Train the Trainer
This was a course instructed by Wright Gibb CWI, CWE
Completed and Passed weld tests were as follow:
-1F plate through 6G 2" sched 40 GTAW Carbon Steel
-1F plate through 6G 2" sched 40 GTAW Stainless Steel
-1F plate through 4G plate GMAW Carbon Steel
-1F plate through 4G plate GMAW Stainless Steel
-1F plate through 2G plate GMAW Aluminum
-1F plate through 4G plate SMAW Carbon Steel
This class also taught thin wall Stainless Tube(beer pipe) and Plasma Cutting, but did not have WPS available for testing.
Evolved my career at RMBC from a Utility position to Team Lead while learning valuable skills.
Designed a new repair program at RMBC that saves the company $600k annually.
Implemented a color code project that lead to the complete reduction in misallocate tooling.
Developed a Cross Training course that opened up communication between my department and the department we serve to create a relationship of innovation and openness.
Created a tooling tracker tool which lead the way to put dollar value on equipment, which ultimately lead to increases in tooling life and a reduction in overall tooling budget.
Expanded an underutilized fabrication capability within the department to become the department of choice for difficult and time sensitive projects.
Lead my team as Safety Council Representative to 0 loss time incidents.
While learning Machining, Welding and Fabrication skills to utilize at work, I set off to use those skills at home and in a different field. I found an interest in Automotive Drifting and dedicated myself to building a Formula Drift ProAm legal drift car out of a 1986 Mazda RX7. Having no prior experience, 8 years ago, I committed to learning everything I could about automotive repair, fabrication and mechanics regarding this vehicle and its specialized platform. I stripped the car down to bare chassis, installed a roll cage, fabricated front and rear bash bars, rerouted new wiring and fuse box, redesigned the suspension and steering geometry, designed and fabricated a long runner taper tube exhaust manifold using schedule 10 321 stainless, redesigned the front end cooling system to be in a V mount configuration, designed and built an anti-slosh aluminum fuel cell and external surge tank, rebuilt and upgraded the 13BT rotary engine and dyno tuned it to 525 rwhp. During this time I teamed up with a local drift team that initially started Drift Colorado and was instrumental in helping them machine and fabricate new parts and modifications for their track cars. For the past 5 years, I also worked on the side for a close friend who operated a circus equipment supply that fabricated custom equipment for Cirque Du Soleil performers and performers of the like. One of the pieces he and I built included an 8 foot diameter industrial themed chandelier used to suspend 4 aerial performers at a sold out Devotchka show at Red Rocks Amphitheater.
