Hi, I'm Robert from Korea, recently moved in to the country for a fresh start of my life. I used to run a restaurant/bar for 7 years, which was a weird career for a mathematics/statistics major from the best university in Korea. I have rejected all jobs offered from multiple private institutes for I had a great reputation as a tutor/teacher because I had passion in cooking and enjoyed doing the numbers running my own small business. Training as a chef was the first thing to accomplish during that time. Figuring out all the others through experiences in the field and learning from my father, who is a professor at the top university's business school ( SNU ) which is where i graduated, was the final goal to accomplish.
I decided to close my business and come over to the states for multiple reasons but I can sum it up in 2. The first one is the collapse in the industry due to COVID-19, and the second one is that I have met my soulmate for the first time in 8 years after a horrible divorce. Meeting this woman made me want to dream bigger, aim higher, and be a better man which I am confident I can accomplish in this country where i was born. After spending about 30 years in Korea, including 15 years of planning my life as an independent adult, I have came up to a conclusion that Korea was not the place I can be truly myself to be happy.
I am pushing myself to my limit everyday since I have arrived on US soil, trying my best to make a living and settle down so i can invite my fiance and family over here to be with me. It is not the green card I am interested in since I am born a US citizen, but a steady income and self esteem, pride as a head of household is what I am desperate about.
Help me be the man I want to be, and I will give my best every second to you and your company. Thank you
