As a staff pharmacist my responsibilities included but were not limited to the following; accepting and reviewing new prescriptions for filling; entering prescription information into the computer for processing; verifying information entered in computer for new prescriptions; verifying medications used in the filling of new and refill prescriptions; filling prescriptions; packaging medications to ready for pick-up by patients; counseling patients on the proper use and frequency of dosing of their medications; answering patient questions concerning their prescriptions or over-the-counter medications; interfacing with third parties and physicians concerning duplicate therapy or other issues with patients medication profile; medication therapy management; answering the phone and speaking with patients or physicians concerning medications, patient profiles or disease states; compounding of medications according to physicians' orders; verifying that the appropriate product is used in the filling of cassettes used in the automated filling machine; administration of immunizations; taking blood pressures and counseling patients on their questions and concerns; keeping a running inventory and ordering of narcotic medications; managing the staff of the pharmacy when the pharmacist on duty and some limited management duties such as void transactions at the registers.

As a staff pharmacist my responsibilities included but were not limited to the following: accepting and reviewing new prescriptions for patients; filling and verifying prescriptions for use of the correct medication; verifying the use of the correct medications to fill the "baker cells" for the automated counting machine; packing and labeling packages of medications to be mailed to patients; maintaining a running inventory of narcotic medications and counseling patients on the proper use and side effects of their medications they are picking up.
As a floater pharmacist my responsibilities included but were not limited to the following: setting up the pharmacy and over-the-counter sections in new stores; review and verification of information on new prescriptions; typing labels for and filling of new and refill prescriptions; taking phone-in prescriptions from physicians' offices; taking and processing refill request made by phone or in person from patients; processing the sale of filled prescriptions; managing and ordering inventory for the pharmacy and over-the-counter products including controlled substances and narcotic medications; keeping track of inventory of controlled substances and narcotic medications; some assistant manager duties such as getting change for the cashiers and validating void transactions; managing of pharmacy technicians; and counseling patients about their prescription medications or over-the-counter medications.
