    I currently work as a Social Worker at the Teresian House Nursing Home. I have a case load of 40 resdients. I help with adjusment to placement to long-term care. I work as part of an interdisplinary team to ensure that each resident has their physical, psychological and social needs meet. I am trained to work with Dementia patients and help their families in dealing with the progress of the disease procees and also end of life care. I have been trained in working with those how have Alzheimer's Dementia and also am trained to feed those residents that are not able to feed themsleves. I set up and run inital, annual and signifianct change meetings with residents their families and the interdisplinary team. I work with the Psychiatrist and Psychologist. I have knowledge on Psych Medications what they are used for and what effects they can have. I also assist families in paying bills and insurance questions. I assist families in applying for Medicare part D coverage. I also do interviews with residents to assess their changes in mentation and also for Depression. I complete monthly assessments on changes in residents condition and care planning. In the past I was selected to be a part of the Dress Code Committee and the SPRING Team. The SPRING Team worked to find ways to improve the workplace and ways to give back to the community.

During my Junior Spring semester worked as an intern at Bellevue Women's Hospital from January 2006 unitl May 2006. I worked under a Masters level Social Worker Ann Marie Feruson (XXX) 346-9400. I assisted with Dischage Planning and gave support to women who had suffered misscarrage. I created a support group for single teen moms and also helped creat a support group for parents of special needs children. I attand two trainings on the adoption process and the rights of fathers. I also networked with community agencies like Planned Parenthood, YWCA and the Ronald McDonald House.
During my Senior Year I workd as an intern at St. CathJessicae's R and E May School from August 2006 unitl May 2007. I worked under Joanne Richmond LCSW-R, DAPA (XXX) 453-6710. I worked with five elementary school age children that attanded the R and E May school due to different Psychological diagnosis they are unable to attand intregrated public school. I was TCI and CAFIS trained in 2006.I attanded the Child Abuse Conference in April of 2007. I also attanded a two day training at the Avila Instuite in Germantown NY on working with the Elderly and Death and Dying.

I graduated with Honors in May of 2006. Then transferred to The College of St. Rose.  I was a member of Phi Beta Kappa in December 2002.
