I LOVE DOGS! They have the capacity to be the incredible companions and protectors. I hope to offer my skills and dedicate my time to learn a craft that is directly supporting a great and noble goal, that of excellence in dog training, and educating their people -all of which Maligator Kennels, and it's community, exemplifies.
I'm a fast learner and I can adapt to different situations quickly. I thrive in unpredictable situations and am eager to test out and improve newly acquired skills. I'm a natural leader and strive to focus on team building any chance I get. I am a hard worker and I seek to take constructive feedback often so I can keep improving. I love interacting with animals and people. I like to see both thrive together. |
Although I'm still enrolled in high school, I have made the most of my experiences there. I have been highly involved with the athletics program and its fundraising initiatives, service opportunities, and program sustainability through community building.
I have excelled in the arts programs and have won artistic awards through the reflections program. I have studied fine arts, graphic design, metal work, ceramics.
I have held leadership positions in many classes and extracurricular groups including Aspire Scholars and youth religious groups.
I am an Eagle Scout. I finished the requirements for this award when the program was being fazed out in my church, and many young men didn't feel it was important. I Knew I wanted to finish strong. I had been planning and preparing for my final Eagle Scout project and wanted to do something very special. I love my Native American brothers and sisters so I planned a cross cultural exchange as a way to honor the Elders of the North Dakota Lakota tribes who had been struggling to protect their lands from the Access Pipeline. It involved months of planning, but myself, my family, and other friends drove cross country to bring meaningful gifts (blankets, food, medicines that were donated from caring friends and church members), all to honor the Elders of Standing Rock. I painted a special picture of Sitting Bull for the township Chief and performed a Samoan Fire Knife dance and other Polynesian dances for the community. It was one of the most meaningful moments of my life. I am proud to be an Eagle Scout.
