SEXUAL ASSAULT SERVICES COORDINATOR/STAFF COUNSELOR
Professional Summary
The recent focus from the White House Task Force on sexual violence on college campuses has brought into the spotlight what higher education student affairs professionals, advocates and survivors have known for years: we have to change rape culture, stop victim blaming and hold perpetrators accountable. This was why I was so excited when this job posting came across a list serve of which I am a member. The University of California Berkeley is an elite and cutting edge university whose mission and vision appear to be in line with my own. As you will see from my resume, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Kentucky with over 15 years of experience in providing therapy. I have been an advocate with a domestic violence shelter as well as a member of the Board of Directors of our local sexual trauma recovery center. Working for the past 10 years in a University Counseling and Testing Center, I can bring experience, energy, passion and leadership to your University Sexual Assault Resource Center, thereby providing the best service possible to the students and ensuring its success. My skills in advocacy, outreach, collaboration and creativity as well as my ambition, humor and willingness to speak up makes me an asset to your university. I appreciate your time in considering me for this opportunity and hope to be invited for an interview. I look forward to hearing from you and wish you the best of luck in finding the best fit for your University! In peace,
