i am a specially selected and well trained Soldier. I have 12 years in the US. Army, I currently hold a Top Secret (TS-SCI) clearance for the government. All of my time in the military has been spent in and around the Special Operations Community. I have been trained, coached, and mentored by some of the best leaders the Army has to offer. I am a hard worker, quick learner, and consider my self a problem solver. I have over 6 deployments between Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria. I am physically fit, mentally tough, and morally straight.
As a Senior Human Resources Sergeant in an Airborne Infantry Ranger Special Troops Battalion comprised of 320 personnel as well as a 400 Soldier student detachment. I was responsible for the execution and coordination of personnel in support of the National Mission Force, Overseas Contingency Operations in multiple theaters, oversight and guidance of all Human Resources tasks and functions to include managing Awards, Evaluations, Finance, Personnel Management Indicators (PMI), Enlisted/Officer promotions, Army Records Information Management Systems (ARIMS) and accuracy of all personnel actions. I am also responsible for the daily accountability and care of four NCOs and eight junior enlisted Rangers.
I was responsible for the supervision of five subsections including NCOERs, Finance, Awards, Assignments, Promotions and the daily operations as a Human Resources Sergeant for a 900-personnel Airborne Infantry Ranger Battalion. Responsible for the health, welfare, discipline of four NCO's and seven junior Rangers. During the Regimental Command Inspections, I mentored seven junior Rangers to succeed and achieve commendable ratings across all personnel sections naming 1/75 S1 shop the best within USASOC. I displayed competence daily by coaching and mentoring eleven personnel on how to properly utilize automation programs such as eTOPMIS, eMILPO, Datastore, CITRIX, and EDAS, WEBEDAS, DCIPS, and FMSWEB. During a four-month deployment to Operation Inherent Resolve, I served as the Battalion Rear Detachment NCOIC supervising the full spectrum of operations during this time. Due to my experience, and level of competence, I was selected to deploy as a Task Force J1 to an undisclosed location to establish and stand up all administrative functions and SOPs for all follow on Special Operations Forces to that location. While working with other Special Mission Units during this deployment, I orchestrated a personnel accountability system using Microsoft Access effectively accounting for over 1,000 Joint Task Force personnel throughout multiple locations with zero deficiencies.
Served as a Human Resources Sergeant in a Special Operations Aviation Battalion compromised of 796 personnel. Responsible for the execution and coordination of HR support for the Battalion, the National Mission Force and Overseas Contingency Operation deployments. During my time in 1/160th SOAR(A), I was directly responsible for Promotions and NCOERs. During this period, being able to manipulate HR systems became simple to me in eMILPO, EDAS, Datastore just to name a few. One small example that displayed my knowledge and understanding of utilizing these systems, was my ability to create reports pulled from WebEDAS that displayed all SPC within the Battalion that had 24 months or less time in service. This was crucial when determining the number of SPC waivers that were going to be allotted throughout the battalion. I became a Subject Matter Expert on how to utilize and manipulate eMILPO which became a big part of my success over the course of my career. I deployed during Operation Enduring Freedom as a Task Force J1 accurately accounting for over 300 Task Force personnel. During two classified no-notice contingency operations, I was selected over four Senior NCOs and three peers to serve as a Task Force J1 due to my level of competency and knowledge of the HR role during combat operations. I was awarded the 2x Army Commendation Medals for my performance during the operation and for my performance and dedication to the unit and its mission.
