Supervise and or engineered eight Managed Pressure Drilling operations in South Texas for OXY and Shell from seismic surveys to drilling and completion.
Supervise, operate and maintain 4 phase under balanced kit in Argentina for 3 directionally drilled wells for YPF in Neuquén Region, 14,500ft (4400m) directional wells drilled and completed on turnkey contract for YPF onshore Neuquén Region.
High pressure rotating heads and nitrified foam or two phase (water/N2) drilling fluids were employed while drilling the production intervals of the wells.
Bottom-hole hydrostatic and circulating densities were maintained near balance with producing formation pressures at 4 to 6 ppg (.5 to .7 sg.
Critical maintenance of Well Control Equipment, and adherence to fluid parameters and safety norms of the company were very critical to safe operations in those conditions.
Execute drilling with casing operations in highly pressured formations and underbalanced drilling with geo-mechanical constraints requiring Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) techniques in Midcontinent USA i.e.
Wyoming, Arkansas, Oklahoma.
