I started out with FedEx as a package handler and quickly and successfully promoted within the company up to my current position of Senior Manger. I am a firm believer in the use of Quality Driven Management to deliver market leading customer experience, business excellence, and financial return.
Safety is a culture that is necessary to an operation. Through my leadership and ideas I have been on Several District Safety teams to help develop those cultures in all facilities. Through this culture,I understand that I and my employees can never take a day off from Safety.
A Senior Manger's responsibility is to put money back into the company. I have solid knowledge of managing a yearly 6 million dollar budget. I have been able to maintain my fiscal responsibilities by coming in under budget for the past 5 years. This is driven through my understanding of productivity, vendor relationships, and potential financial impacts to the bottom line.
My administrative controls are what sets me above the rest as I have had District audits during my time as a Senior Manager of which I have had a severity score of 3.8, 4.3, and most recently .93. I was also chosen as a station that the Internal auditors came to visit and received an exceptional audit grade. I was chosen to be on the district audit team that went to every facility to audit.
The previous 2 years I received an Employee Survey Score of 93% and 94% respectively demonstrating my commitment to engaging my employees. Employee development and training is a top priority of mine. I have had numerous employees who worked for me that have gone on to promote within the company. My excellence at this has shown in that I have been asked to go to several facilities overs the years and assist with the development and training of others as well as employees being sent to me for training.
My servant leadership not only extends to my employees but also the Service Providers who are contracted with FedEx Ground. My interpersonal and communication skills have helped me develop relationships with many Service Providers across the network who can depend on me to address there issues in a timely fashion. I believe in the contract model and hold the Service Providers accountable for the results that are expected in the contract. I have had several Authorized Officers of many businesses inform my Manager that I am "the best manager they have had." My business acumen has helped me develop these relationships due to the ability to communicate to them about outside factors that affect there future business plans.
