Develop installation details for power and control and grounding. Work with remote engineering office personnel to develop underground and above ground grounding plan drawing construction work packages. Develop motor schematic and wiring diagram drawing templates. Assist in developing Area Classification Plans for the Crude, FCCU and OSBL areas of the plant.

In the early stages of construction, provided assistance to planners to build construction work packages. Subsequently provided construction support for instrument and electrical disciplines answering any requests for Information. Provided oversight for any instrument and electrical material purchases which helped to minimize surplus material at mechanical completion. Provided assistance to test and commission the Profibus motor control system network. Coordinated with third party vendors to correct controls issues with various packaged equipment. Coordinated with and monitored subcontractors for heat tracing, security access, CCTV and electrical distribution equipment testing and commissioning. Detailed engineering and design for EPCM contract to install a brown field HRPIB unit. Electrical work included two PDC (Power Distribution Center Buildings) for the new unit. Profibus and Modbus Networks to accomplish motor control and monitoring of switchgear protective relays. Specialty systems included security access and CCTV systems and limited although long run electrical heat tracing for inter plant product piping runs. Developed PIP based installation detail for grounding, power and control, lighting, cable tray and instrumentation that were to be used as the standard moving forward for the Lubrizol Deer park facility. Coordinated with multi-project execution team to complete and provide final checking for all the engineering and design deliverables including grounding, lighting, cable tray, power and control and instrument plans as well as one-lines and schematic and wiring diagrams.
2014 - 2015W. P.Water Treatment Electrical Power Distribution Improvement, Valero, Senior Electrical Designer, Corpus Christi, Texas
Tasked with developing engineering and design deliverables to install new tilt wall, built on site switchgear building including double ended 15kv switchgear and 480V switchgear to provide power to existing MCC's in adjacent building. Scope included re-work of upstream 15kv underground power distribution feeders from other areas of the plant and to serve the new switchgear building.

Flare and related equipment installation in five existing process unit area. Scope included installation of a new power distribution center building and remote I/O building. The main intent of the project to achieve regulatory compliance. Tasked mainly with checking out-sourced electrical deliverables including lighting, power, instrumentation and heat tracing drawings as well as interconnect wiring and schematic diagram drawings.
2013 – 2014Multiple Gathering and Treating facilities Eagle Ford Shell Play, BHP Billiton, Senior Electrical Designer, Eagle Ford Shell Play, Texas
Seconded to BHP Billiton to inspect and report on multiple existing facilities throughout the Eagle Ford Shell Play for compliance to industry codes and standards. After inspection and follow up report completion, provided coordination and supervision to electrical contractor to make the needed corrective actions. At one facility, this included demo of existing starters, feeder breakers and variable speed drives and replacement with explosion proof equipment to meet the area classification for three existing local switch racks. This was done without requiring replacement of existing underground power and control cabling to the users. Work included specifying and directing contractor for procurement of replacement equipment. Designed and directed the installation of new underground duct back and switch rack to feed new thermal oxidizer and new flare installation.

Responsible for engineering and design deliverables for the expansion of an existing central distribution facility and separate site grass roots central distribution facility. This included review of vendor drawings for main line compressors and Amine Treating Units. 2011 – 2012Bennet Ranch Re-Injection Compressor Facility, Oxy, Senior Electrical Designer, Post, Texas
Responsible for the design and development of associated power distribution deliverables including one lines, schematic and interconnect wiring drawings. The system included a combined power distribution and control room with 15kv double ended switchgear and double ended 480V switchgear with close coupled motor control centers. Held and integral position in the coordination and design of the interconnecting wiring to the separate high voltage relay panels and the associated interconnect wiring to the upstream 138kv switchyard as well as the upstream utility provided 138kv substation. Provided oversight for testing and commissioning of the PDC building by third party contractor. Assisted construction management with oversight of I&E Subcontractor.
