  • Responsible for all Facilities functions, department performance, long term planning, identifying priorities, delegating work assignments, and guiding the daily activities of a staff of 50 (skilled and semi-skilled) employees in a manner that best meets the needs of an educational organization.
  • Maintain heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems (HVAC-R.) Additionally responsible for building management system, boilers, grease traps, plumbing infrastructure, cooking equipment, fixtures, make-up air units, water pumps, gas booster pump, condenser water equipment, electrical system, building elevator, small appliances, and interior finishes.
  • Handle disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, recommendations for salary changes, department scheduling, payroll/ time keeping, professional development, job training, mentoring, counseling, hiring, and employment separation.
  • Draft memos, create policies, and establish operating procedures.
  • Further develop, and motivate the department to have a focus on quality, sustainability, best practices, customer service, cost effectiveness, and minimization of down time.
  • Ensure all activities are in compliance with regulation and maintain or renew licenses: Department of Health, FDNY, NYC Dept.
