Senior Defense Official and Defense Attache, 09/2013 - 05/2016
  • Led a Department of Defense team of over 400 military and civilians in Bogota, Colombia, coordinating all projects, programs, and country plans that transformed the Colombian Ministry of Defense into our most capable partner in the region.
  • Supervised Department of Defense projects in Colombia, ensuring programmatic and financial and technical compliance of over 25 major programs totaling $1.3 billion.
  • Managed the bilateral Defense relationship with the Colombian Ministry of Defense and General Command of the Military Forces to include direct liaison with the Minister of Defense and Commanding General of the Armed Forces.
  • Coordinated military support to civilian authorities for natural and manmade disasters in Colombia to include monitoring the response and supporting information management needs that assisted in ensuring early recovery and resulting in significant disaster mitigation.
