During the summers of 1977-1979 I worked summer jobs with the US Forestry Service. As a school aged employee I worked with a group building, clearing AT trails, rock work, and many other things for the betterment of Jefferson National Forest.
I was hired in a full time position in 1980. I was a Fire Fighter, Periodically a Fire Fighter Liaison. I worked on fires in the Jefferson, Tennessee, Kentucky, California. I helped complete Red Devils (Federal paper work for each fire fighter to receive pay).
I worked on various projects throughout the Jefferson.
This was my first public job. This is where I learned the importance of communication, safety, honesty, work ethics and values.
I take great pride in giving back to our great community through working with the Pearisburg Junior Women's club.
Thank you for taking the time to talk with me and provide insight about the Dispatch position.
My gratitude,
