Sales Representative01/2016 － CurrentXylem
At Xylem, I began developing a sales region that had previously been neglected by meeting with municipalities and contractors in an effort to further the Xylem brand recognition in the Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts markets.
Responsibilities included preparing quotes for sewer bypass, construction dewatering and other pump related construction activities.
Also, I was responsible for managing the installation of pumping systems and system operation.
Managed the installation and operation of a three pump sewer bypass system designed for 4,000 GPM and transferring sewage approximately 1,200 feet from suction to discharge at a site in East Providence.
Senior Project Manager01/2014 － 01/2016Cherokee Dewatering and Environment, LLC
At Cherokee, I designed and managed the installation of temporary groundwater dewatering and/or treatment systems at multifaceted job sites for major construction contractors throughout the New England market.
Responsibilities included preparing certified dewatering plans which included system design based on aquifer characteristic calculations; equipment procurement and staff scheduling; client communication and often "hands-on" system component installation.
Additionally, Transaction Screens, Phase I/II ESAs and UST Closures were part of my duties.
Preparation of Certified Dewatering Plans.
Installation of Dewatering System.
Staff Management and Scheduling.
Installation of Treatment System
Designed and installed an extensive construction dewatering system across an approximately 18 acre former industrial mill property in Warwick, Rhode Island.
The project includes the calculations and implementation to successfully dewater multiple contaminated excavation areas, treat the groundwater for #6 fuel oil constituents of concern and discharge to a partially protected surface water body.
The dewatering system needed for this project consisted of 34 dewatering wells, piped to a treatment system consisting of four (4) 21K frac tanks, a sand filter system, eight bag filters and three (3) 10,000-pound granular activated carbon vessels.
At Tyree, I manage a retail petroleum portfolio for a major realty company consisting of approximately 25 project sites throughout Connecticut.
Responsibilities included marketing company services and proposal preparation; mentor, train and evaluate staff scientists on proper procedures; and budget tracking and cost to closure work scope development and implementation.
Completed a gasoline tank removal and remedial excavation/ORC treatment project in Danbury, Connecticut.
I was responsible for all aspects of the project including staff scheduling, ORC injection permitting, heavy equipment rental, waste stream profiling, subcontractor hiring, budget tracking and closure reporting.
Completed a targeted remedial excavation for a site in the Connecticut Property Transfer Program.
This project required constant communication with multiple stake-holders while following the strict requirements of the Property transfer Act.
Residual impacts remain at the project site, subsequently; I have developed a work scope and began planning ISCO injection remediation and additional sampling to comply with regulations using the 95% Upper Confidence Level (UCL) statistical analysis.
Environmental Scientist01/2006 － 01/2012
While employed by Kleinfelder, I provided excellent consulting services to clients with progressing levels of responsibility from entry level data collection scientist to a senior scientist responsible for the implementation of remediation scopes throughout New England.
I was acknowledged multiple years as an office leader in implementing the companies health and safety policies (Loss Prevention System) and active nationally in the company with a presentation of a poster, "3 Drops or 300,000 Gallons: A Reflection on Recent Dewatering Projects" at the annual company technical seminar and as a member of Kleinfelder's Hydrogeology Practice Group.
Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) research and report preparation:.
Collect historical research data, organize the data and complete a Phase I ESA report according to American Standard for Testing and Materials (ASTM) E1527 and within the contracted level of effort for multiple retail petroleum sites.
Phase 2/3 ESA data collection and report preparation:.
Prepare work scopes, budget proposals, obtain applicable permits, and supervise all on-site drilling and sampling activities adhering to all client health and safety procedures and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
Developed into the Connecticut office aquifer testing specialist, involved in all aspects of data collection and analysis for dewatering planning.
Supervised multiple remediation system installations including air sparge/ soil vapor extraction (SVE) and groundwater pump and treat.
Worked alongside teams of contractors and consultants to remove, remediate and reinstall gasoline underground storage tank (UST) systems at multiple sites in Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
