Sales AssociateJun 2016 to Current
Tractor Supply Company - Newnan, GASimilar to Academy as it is a retail position, I feel this is where I have really gained a lot of experience in customer service. Instead of only being over a department and having only calls come through related to my department, I found myself having to answer phone calls that had questions that were not related to my area of expertise, all while running the register up front. This is also where my multitasking skills were made very useful since more often then not I have to talk to the customer on the phone while checking out a customer in person. I have had customers tell me that they were impressed up calm I was while checking out a long line of customers while also handling phone calls.
Sales AssociateSep 2015 to Feb 2016
Academy Sports + Outdoors - Newnan, GAAt Academy, there are four departments. Team Sports, Hunting & Fishing, Apparel and Camping. I was the first female at the Newnan store to be allowed to work in the Camping department due to my history of working on a farm and being capable of lifting heavy loads, usually more than fifty pounds. As a sales associate, it was my job to help customers in my department and to keep it tidy and presentable, as well as answer phone calls. Though new to the retail world at this time, I still found myself often having to not only run my department, but one to two others as well.
Horse TrainerFeb 2015 to Apr 2015
C&G Livestock - Opelika, AlabamaAs a horse trainer, it was my job to train horses and nothing more, but I went above and beyond and helped feed, put up fence posts and even helped my boss with his car hauling business. At the horse shows we went to, I scoped out potential customers and after talking with them for a good fifteen minutes, I usually had a sale made. Though I no longer work for the owner, I still help him in anyway I can by recommending him to people I meet.
