I am presently a retired teacher. I taught 16 1/2 years in a public school and 6 years in the catholic diocese. I was responsible for teaching both general and special education classrooms. During this time my focus was paying close attention to the student's needs through their IEP's (individual education programs), following the NYS common core curriculum in addition to the heeding the necessary requirements for testing students with special needs.
Prior to teaching, I was a real estate paralegal. I had worked for three different law firms (full and part-time ) during a three year period. With these jobs, I was responsible for filling out and recording documents, keeping close communication and follow up with clients, as well as performing numerous office tasks, as needed, on a day to day basis.
My last employment as a paralegal was with Saperston & Day, P.C. I was a loan/mortgage closer representing Goldome Bank. The responsibilities entailed closing up to 5 loans a day that included full responsibility of completing all documentation with computing the figures on a closing statement which were presented to the clients and their attorney inadvance of the closing day. Signing of the loan documents with full explanation of each document with the clients was executed for each closing.

As a teacher, I worked with students from grades K-12. The vast age difference and curriculums gave me insight into the needs and necessary changes in growth and development for every level of learning. This guided me to find the strategies that I needed to meet their expectations. I am very familiar with adapting to change in the work environment. I enjoy learning and am resilient regardless of my many years of work experience. This is my asset.
I am use to having to incorporate many new changes in law and adjust the new methods of learning with new material to adhere to the work expectations. I keep a positive attitude; that these changes are for the good, and that making improvements are for the overall nature/purpose of a thriving organization or business.
