As part of being a nurse on the Brain and Spine Institute for the past seven years, I have learned a tremendous amount about the importance of bedside nursing and the role of the nurse and advanced practice provider in ensuring adequate patient education, understanding, and management of care. In working with the critical care population, I have developed a desire to be able to provide a higher level of care to patient's who need it. I am extremely passionate about nursing and have built up my knowledge, critical thinking, time management, communication skills, and familial interaction opportunities specifically through working in this environment. I have been in a leadership position as a charge nurse on my unit for six years and am ready to delve into this new path in my career.
