I give my time to my church music programs, performing, teaching, creating, and serving.

I started a small group within our church and have taught adult Sunday school.

I am the founder of Letters of Hope, a ministry that writes letters to Texas inmates, encouraging them to seek a life closer to Christ, and help them with re-entry services.

  • When given the roll as regional manager, new skills were developed.
  • My move to Sunbeam was a chance gain new perspective and a new appreciation for the qualities of leadership.
  • I found many of my management strategies in the classroom transferred easily to my position, but I also found new attributes in dealing with maintenance and distribution.
  • Sunbeam provides meals and snacks for low income housing and government supported youth programs.
  • I was contacted in June of 2011 to begin expansion of their local services into the Central Texas region.
  • My duties included transport of product from Dallas to Austin, warehouse management, inventory management, daily inventory of stock, all data for the Central Texas region, distribution, and maintenance.
  • Following the school semester, it was no longer fiscally responsible to support two regions of distribution.
  • The Central Texas region was discontinued and my services were no longer needed.
Associate Director of Bands, 08/2007 to 03/2011Pflugerville Independent School District - Pflugerville, TX
  • As the associate director of bands, my focus and goal was music education and enrichment for high school students.
  • This position, despite returning to the associate roll, gave me the opportunity to be closer to home, to spend more time with my family, and the chance to professionally grow as an educator and as a musician.
  • The purpose of any band director is to give the student an opportunity for personal success and the development of and ensemble.

  • But above all, my position was one of negotiation between faculty, parents, the Hendrickson band program, and the district administration.

  • As the head band director, my responsibilities included overall supervision of all district campuses.
  • All curriculum and budgets were my responsibility.
  • I made decisions with regards to faculty and employment on all campuses.
  • I was in full created control of all instrumental productions.
  • My responsibilities also encompassed student grades and attendance, monitoring budget for each ensemble, district acquisitions, extra staffing, data of payroll hours, and inventory of district owned capital outlay items.

  • I created overall percussion curriculum for 6th through 12th grade.
  • My percussion ensemble was awarded the NTCA State Championship for Percussion - runner up.
