Additional Information

After Graduating High School I went on to a 4 year university on a softball Scholarship. After one semester, I figured out that I wasn't succeeding in the University setting and I decided to come home. Once I returned from the University I realized that I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life, so I signed on to work at a Guest Ranch in Fairplay Colorado (in the dead of winter) as a Ranch Hand. At this facility we ran several head of horses, cared for their needs, maintained that facility to include: buildings, fence, corrals and equipment. Once the weather turned, I went on to work at another Guest Ranch, this time in Shawnee Colorado. It was here that We did guided hunts, trail rides, and cared for the the needs of animals, to include: foaling, weaning cattle, feeding, doctoring etc. We were also responsible for maintaining that grounds, fence, corrals and trails. I gained a love for large animal care working at these facilities, and once I had children I had to take on a "responsible" job....so I became a Police Dispatcher. Once my daughter became old enough, I got her into horses and I managed to become involved at each facility she rode with. I would help saddle horses, groom the facility, care/doctor the animals etc. I have owned livestock for a very long time, and have manged to balance the care and need of the animals with the care and need of my family and also work. Now that I'm older and have raised my children....I am coming up on having a empty nest. I am both exciting and sad, excited to have the potential to pursue the opportunity to became a Band Inspector (something I've always wanted to do), and sad because my children have grown-up and moved on.
