During my time in Schlumberger in North America I’ve had the opportunity to successfully carryout the following projects:
• Currently: Campeche Burgos 3D Merge. Giving on-site support and working as Project Leader for the Time Processing. Client: REPSOL. Location: Houston - United States. Besides the general on-site support provided to our clients in Repsol, I’m responsible to carry out the time processing testing and production for the merge of 2 surveys: Escolleras 1 3D (1271 sq. Km.) and Chairel 3D (2897 sq. Km).
• 2019. Campeche Block 5: Project Leader. Marine 3D data, Time Processing. Client: Murphy Oil. Location: Houston - United States. Pseudo Multiclient project. I was in charge to prepare and condition the demiltuple multiclient data to create the best depth image possible.
• 2016- 2108. Canin Suuk: Project Leader. Marine 3D data / Time & Depth Processing. Client: PEMEX. Location: Houston - United States. Multicomponent Project on Gulf of Mexico, consisting of time and depth processing and merge of 6 massive blocks adding up close to 5000 sq. Km. I have been in charge of key stages of the signal processing for all the blocks, these involve PZ Summation, Noise Attenuation, Time Migration and Merge.
• 2014-2015. Sakhalin: Project Leader. Marine 3D Data / Time Processing. Client: Exxon. Location: Houston - United States. 4D Time and Depth Project at Sakhalin Island - Offshore Russia which involved reprocessing for a baseline acquisition and processing for a new acquisition of several areas, defined as processing services each of them with different descriptions. All the areas to be processed and delivered covered about 1900 sq. km. For some of those areas, I oversaw different signal processing stages such as Noise Attenuation, Interpolation, Statics, Amplitude compensation. For one survey in particular, I was in charge and responsible for the time processing sequence.
During my position in Argentina I have:
From the technical stand point, I lead the following projects:
• 2014. UR11 (Phase 2): Project Leader. Marine Data / Time & Depth Processing. Client: ANCAP. Location: Buenos Aires - Argentina. Sell up Project, intended to complete the depth imaging of the total of the 2D data acquired in 2011, and calibrate the velocity model obtained previously in 2013 for 2500km of data with this new model. This project involves depth processing of 5000 km and time processing of 5170 Km.
• 2013. Valle Inferior del Magdalena Sur (VIM-SUR) 2D: Geophysicist. Land Data / Time Processing. Client: ANH. Location: Bogota - Colombia. The project involved the time processing of several surveys located at the Magdalena Lower Valley Basin that added a total of 9113 Km. As part of a multidisciplinary team by Geoscience and Petroleum Engineering (GPE) and Geosolutions, I oversaw the complete time processing sequence for some surveys belonging to this project. This job intended to integrate interpretation and seismic processing teams in a single project with the objective of improve the seismic imaging through the reprocessing, interpretation and geologic modelling of the Basin.
• 2012-2013. UR11: Project Leader. Marine Data / Time & Depth Processing. Client: ANCAP. Location: Buenos Aires - Argentina. In charge of the time processing sequence application on 7000 Km and full depth processing sequence application on 2500 Km. of 2D marine data located between Pelotas and Punta del Este Basin in Uruguay, acquired in the 70's and 2001. The general objective of this processing was to achieve the best subsurface imaging while preserving the amplitude variations in the seismic data. For the time process, the main objectives were to enhance the continuity of the reflectors and have a good image of the rift structures, the intra rifts reflectors, the fault terminations and the stratigraphic prospects between Upper Cretaceous and Paleocene sequences. An additional objective for the depth process was to solve the pull-downs and correct the image distortions on the reflectors associated to the irregularities in the water bottom.
• 2012. Madre de Dios 2D: Project Leader. Land Data / Time Processing. Client: PETROBRAS. Location: Buenos Aires - Argentina. In charge of the time processing sequence application on 762 Km. of 2D data located in Madre de Dios Basin, Peru, acquired in 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985 and 1996. The objectives of this time reprocessing were to improve the definition of geologic structures based on noise attenuation and a pseudo 3D integrated statics correction.
• 2011. Corocora 3D: Project Leader. Land Data / Time Processing. Client: PERENCO. Location: Buenos Aires - Argentina. In charge of the time processing sequence application on 43 Sq.Km. of 3D data located in Casanare Department, Colombia, acquired in 2009. The general objective of this time reprocessing was to achieve the best subsurface imaging while preserving the amplitude variations in the seismic and gain definition in the main fault (from around 0.8 to1.8 secs two-way-time) that went through the seismic target which was located at 1.2 secs two-way-time within the reservoir.
• 2011. Tonono 3D: Project Leader. Land Data / Time Processing. Client: WICAP & MAXIPETROL. Location: Buenos Aires - Argentina. In charge of the time processing sequence application on 59 Sq.Km. of 3D data located in Salta, Argentina with seismic targets between 1500 and 2500 milliseconds of two-way time. The main goals of this reprocessing were to achieve a better structural imaging in the area, through a good statics’ solution, where there is a seismic fold degradation, and to preserve the amplitude variations within the reservoirs.
• 2011. Topoyaco 2D: Project Leader. Land Data / Time Processing. Client: PACIFIC RUBIALES. Location: Buenos Aires - Argentina. In charge of the time processing sequence application on 2 2D-lines located at La Fraguita-Caqueta in Colombia and acquired in 2009.
