I am currently am seeking a position with the FAA as an ASI (Manufacturing)
Experienced Quality inspector , A&P Technician and leader with over 25 years of experience in Aviation. Excellent reputation for resolving problems, assuring on a continuing basis, that quality systems, organization, production facilities, and aeronautical products of assigned aerospace organizations are in compliance with FAA approvals and 14CFRs. I have conducted several audits in accordance with FAA Orders 8120.22 Production Approval Procedures, 8120.23 Certificate Management of Production Approval Holders, and other established policies. I served as a manufacturing expert in the investigation of violations,incidents and malfunction/defects that may be attributable to items manufactured in assigned organizations. I have years of experience coaching/mentoring and reviewing the work of lower grade inspectors, and have performed other duties as assigned.
I was in charge of Embraer Composite Layup and assembly shops for rudder and elevators. I supervised several FAI certifications for 195/1785 composite parts. I also lead the team for CF6 engine cowl Layup and assemblies. My other project responsibility was assembly of V22 Ramp and door.
Former Multi Family K Level Quality Manager, I worked in 88-20 and on the delivery flight line as a Field Quality Manager. I was responsible for the airworthiness release for test flight aircraft on the 787 program. I was also responsible for issuance of 8130-6 to ODA/FAA representative for final certification on 787's. I also have signing authority on 8130-3 for parts acceptance for installation on customers 787 A/C after ticketing. I have working knowledge in Enovia, as well as REDARS and IVT, all 3D graphic Product Type Design programs. I am authorized to perform inspections under the Boeing Companies PC&700,I was also the quality representative on the team that resolved 4 LOI's from the FAA and consequently won the Quality Cup for our accomplishments. Ensured all legal standards were met. Supervised and motivated staff and management. Maintained quality assurance and customer satisfaction objectives. Maintained necessary level of communications between shifts. Managed team performance by training, mentoring, disciplining and motivating employees.
I worked at Boeing as a contractor , I was assigned to the 88-20 building and was responsible for inspections on mid body assemblies of the 787. I also performed RCCA inspections on procedures and installation plans for aircraft assembly as well as hands on audits to ensure compliance with Boeing BAC's and FAR's as well as ASO 9100procedures. I am proficient in Microsoft word, excel and PowerPoint and put together full reports with OVE for briefings to upper management. I have worked with Boeing's IP's and have been responsible for IP correction and implementation. Monitored performance and generated reports detailing quality of product and defect rates. Performed visual inspections and non-destructive tests where appropriate. Evaluated components and final products against quality standards and manufacturing specifications. Completed precise measurements using special tools. Coached new employees on administrative procedures, company policies and performance standards.
