Goal of the Global payment project is to implement EMV (Chip and Pin) enabled transactions to Nike stores thereby reducing the occurrence of fraud transactions and allowed consumers to use preferred tender at all Nike doors. This involves electronic hardware replacement including integrated payment terminals to support the new applications which should be integrated with third party payment gateway providers. This is an end-to-end application development project involving requirements elaboration, design, build, testing, implementation, and support. Project also focuses on Automation testing with Slack bot integration to run Automation from remote or from mobile as well.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with developers to build Checkout and Card Payment features in Fixed and Mobile Point-of-Sale with retail and digital commerce cloud services
  • Works with Design team for VQE Review and Approval for delivering Consumer and Athlete facing front end UX screens.

This Project mainly aims at enabling the Nike Brick and Mortar stores in performing seamless sale transactions. The front facing POS register include Sale, Returns, Promotions, Payment, and Customer Relationship modules. The back office PC deals mostly with Cash Management, Inventory Management, Employee Maintenance, Label ticketing, Store Start of Day / End of Day activities, Reporting and Data Transmission to downstream systems for Forecasting / Budgeting. This is an end-to-end project involving agile devops methodology of Requirements Gathering, System Design, Application Development, Quality Management, Testing, Deployment, and Support. Technically, the project involves development, maintenance, and support of Microsoft .Net applications in conjunction with Point of Sale systems. It targets at designing new features as required by business in the competitive retail sector, as well as deploying bug fixes into production every month. This project also involves Windows Development, automation, maintenance, and enhancements of POS applications. Project also focuses on Automation testing with Slack bot integration to run Automation from remote or from mobile as well.
