Successfully trained over 250 employees to use new operating systems for Xerox.
I have worked for Xerox at Doctors Hospital, alongside Information Services, for almost 9 years now. In that time I have voluntarily assisted with issues concerning printers, computers, networking and information gathering. I have made myself available to the IT staff whenever they needed help with the purpose of continuing to learn and increase my knowledge in the field for future use.
Overall responsibility for the print shop, including budget, procurement of supplies and public relations with the user community which includes:
Oversee, plan, and direct the activities of a modern printing shop. Prepare or direct the preparation of cost estimates. Establish and coordinate methods and procedures for economical and efficient production. Confer with institution and departmental representatives on materials to be printed and the priorities and time limits involved, and prepare or direct the preparation of schedules accordingly. Supervise directly or through subordinate supervisors a small staff of employees engaged in pre-press preparation, pressroom, and binding operations. Plan and direct formal and on-the-job training programs. Determine or assist in determining the kind, amount, and location of equipment. Requisition supplies, repair parts, and replacement or additional equipment. Direct the cleaning, maintenance, and minor repair of equipment. Plan, develop and write specifications for a wide range of printing and binding jobs to be contracted to commercial printing vendors as needed. Direct the preparation and maintenance of necessary records and reports.
I was hired by Allegra Print for my knowledge in customer relations and printing experience. Job duties included opening and closing the store, dealing with customer solutions daily and bank deposits. This work opportunity gave me the necessary experience to join the team at Xerox and further my career as a Print Shop Manager. Working at Allegra as an Assistant Manager provided me with invaluable skills too numerous to list.
