I have been on the Dallas Police Department since 2001. I worked as a patrol officer in the Pleasant Grove,South Dallas and Oak Cliff areas for 8 years. In 2006 I was promoted to the rank of Senior Corporal which allowed me to train officers who just graduated from the police academy. In 2008 I was promoted to Police Sergeant and transferred to the Downtown Dallas area where I supervise up to 35 sworn officers per day and we serve upwards of 100,000 citizens. In 2002 I began coordinating police officers for the Brauman Group at 1536 South Buckner Blvd. I schedule 2 Dallas Police Officers seven days per week 364 days a year (Christmas off). The Brauman Group is a real estate firm who owns a shopping center containing 14 stores including a Radio Shack, Oreilly's Auto Parts, Thrift Store, Cleaners and a Steak House. Reference contact for my performance at this location is Evan Fetter (214) 769-3389.
I also coordinate off duty police services for the Chin Maya Mission in North Dallas. I began coordinating this church location in 2003. Officers are responsible for traffic control and ensuring the safety of the church goers and their property. This location is serviced on Saturdays and Sundays. Please contact U.K. Gupta for a reference of my performance at (972) 841-1101.
Prior to becoming a police officer I worked as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room and Intensive Care Unit at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Tx. I also held a paramedic certification for 14 yrs. My RN license was issued in 1997 and remains active today.
I maintain a large database and relationship with numerous officers which I utilize to fill off duty positions. Officers are expected to BE PUNCTUAL, COURTEOUS AND PROFESSIONAL AT ALL TIMES! Working in an off duty capacity we are not only representatives of the City of Dallas but also of your business. I understand it is difficult to make a living in the entertainment business and I demand that the officers who work for me be good stewards of your establishment. Excessive tardy, absences or being unprofessional will not be tolerated and the officer committing these violations will be removed from future scheduling.
Supervise up to 35 sworn police officers per shift. My duties include field monitoring, citizen conflict resolution, investigating officer misconduct, responding to high priority calls for service (shootings, stabbings, homicides, major accidents, etc). I am also responsible for developing crime reduction initiatives to address crime trends. Working the Downtown area I frequently am called on to develop traffic plans for large events and handle large protests.
As an off duty police coordinator I have over 11 years experience in everything from large parties with thousands of participants, to sporting events to churches. You are encouraged to contact my employers at the two locations I currently coordinate.
Graduated and passed the State of Texas NCLEX Board. License is current and active.
Obtained State of Texas licensure from TCLEOSE which governs law enforcement officers. I graduated #2 out of 43 cadets at the academy and I was given an award for outstanding academic performance by the Chief of Police at our graduation ceremony.
I obtained certifications as both an Emergency Medical Technician and as a Paramedic. I passed both state exams and obtained my Paramedic certification. In 2002 I became a licensed Paramedic which subsequently expired in 2006. I chose not to renew my license due to my RN licensure being active.
