Police Officer Firearms Training Unit, (2008 - 2016). Assigned as a Full-Time Firearms Instructor and Department Armorer at the Mesa Police Firearms Training Facility. Developed AZPOST Firearms Lesson Plans, conducted firearms training for in-service Police Officers as well as Academy Recruit Officers. Worked as a Department Armorer on servicing/repairing Department issued and personally owned duty firearms. Responded to Officer involved Shootings to conduct weapons inspections and prepared Police Reports on the incidents.
Police Officer Patrol Operations, (1999 - 2008). Worked as a Patrol Officer / Field Training Officer in Patrol Operations. Responded to calls for service, investigating crimes, collecting evidence, traffic accident investigations, writing reports and arresting persons for criminal activity. Worked as a Field Training Officer Training New Patrol Officers. During this assignment, I worked as a part-time Firearms Range Instructor, part-time Felony High Risk Stop Instructor and Mesa police Honor Guard Member.
Wildlife Manager II / Game Ranger, (February 1992 - August 1999). Assigned as District Wildlife manager for the Southwest portion of Game Management Unit 22. Had water responsibilities for Canyon Lake. I was responsible for District Information and Education, Law Enforcement Patrols, Game Management, Fisheries Management, and Habitat Evaluation / Protection and Enhancement activities within the southern portion of Unit 22 South. Completed Department reports pertaining to Wildlife Management activities and Law Enforcement arrest report activities. Completed hunt recommendations to the Game Branch for game species within Unit 22 South. During this assignment I worked as a Field Training Officer, Special detailed to a Wildlife Manager III position training new recruits during their training program.
Wildlife Manager II / Game Ranger,(December 1989 - February 1992). Assigned as District Wildlife Manager for the Bullhead City South District of Game Management Unit 15D. Had water responsibilities for the Colorado River below Davis Dam to Interstate 40. I was responsible for Information and Education, law Enforcement, Game management, Fisheries management, and habitat Evaluation, Protection and Enhancement activities within Unit 15D. Completed hunt recommendations to the Game Branch for game species within Unit 15D.
Seasonal Radio Dispatcher, (January 1987 - December 1989). Assigned to Radio Room in Phoenix Law Enforcement Branch. Operated two-way radio equipment, Took Operation Game Thief calls and dispatched Officers as warranted. Entered warrants into ACIC computer records, ran criminal history checks as well as driver's license checks, vehicle registration checks and warrant checks. Entered and filed citations, special licenses and permits. Performed preliminary investigations for field Officers.
Arizona Game and Fish Department Wildlife Intern, (May 1989 - August 1989). Assigned to Research Branch in the Region II Flagstaff Area capturing and radio collaring elk. Radio Tracked elk to gather home range movements to identify elk bedding locations. Measured vegetation at elk bed sites, plotted and mapped locations for the elk research project.
Communications Specialist/Clerical Aide, (May 1986 - January 1987). Assigned to the Arizona game and Fish Radio Room in the Phoenix Law Enforcement Branch. Worked as a Radio Dispatcher as needed, performed special tasks and duties as assigned by the Law Enforcement Branch.
