Having graduated with a bachelor's degree in the fine arts. I have found myself wanting to broaden my horizon with this application towards a professional career. Having been a curator successful in working with various artists in a week to week basis, facilitating and maintaining the gallery space. With educational sessions to acquaint individuals with facility highlights and new works.
My time as a curator was some of the most thought provoking and hand dirtying work I have ever done. Which precedes and succeeds my time and work lifting heavy packages as a sorter in UPS.
Hard work does not frighten me,having stepped up the challenge of becoming an assistant supervisor with my first season with LiveNation. While challenging it was beyond rewarding. Leaving me looking forward to every new challenge the position offered. Whether it was scanning tickets at the front gate, assisting guests, working security or a multitude if other tasks. I was quick to learn on my feet, and LiveNation presented plenty of chances to do so.
Furthermore my current tenure as a Chicago Police Officer has been the most difficult and rewarding. I began as a recruit in class 20-1B on February 18. Adjusting to the paramilitary style of the academy took some time, but thanks to my fellow recruits pulling together as a team we were able to settle into a groove. However, all of us were soon interrupted as Covid-19 hit. Only 5 weeks into our training we were sent out to various districts to assist with decontamination and other office tasks due to the academy being closed down for contamination risks. For approximately 5 months we were assigned to our various districts before the Academy reopened. From that point forward training was fast tracked back into motion. I learned how to properly fire a weapon for the first time in my life. Along with the procedures for doing proper paperwork for various violations, tickets, and so forth. Ultimately completing the academy with every single one of my fellow recruits of 20-1B. Currently with 15 months on the job I have done homicide reports, theft reports, parking tickets, moving violations, and tens of hundreds of reports while working on the streets of Chicago. Which I believe has more than prepared me for any challenges that may present themselves.
My hope with this resume is that with this application a new challenge will await me with your agency. So I can continue to grow, learn and work to the best of my capabilities.
