Treehouse FoodsWorks , NDPlant Finance Manager07/2012 to Current
  • Received a positional promotion to Plant Finance Manager (PFM), from Plant Accounting Manager, after outstanding business results. Promotions of this nature are atypical within P&G.
  • As the most junior PFM within Family Care (six plants), orchestrated a financial plan that delivered the largest cost per unit decline in the category, a record year in production, and exceeded the company's Compelling Business Need (CBN) for cost savings by 7%, while also turning over 70% of my plant F&A organization.
  • Led a Family Care plant benchmarking exercise to identify cost savings opportunities in plant overhead spending (i.e. facilities, material logistics, etc.) which identified >$25M of savings.
  • Became one of the site's go to resources to help navigate and mitigate the impacts of the first Carbon Market Cap & Trade program in the U.S.

  • Took the initiative to develop a robust, bottom-up model to forecast $32M of wages and $13M of Employee Benefits with an accuracy of 2%.
  • Led the annual standard costing process for >300 brand codes utilizing Microsoft Project.
  • Implemented new standards to harmonize forecasts within the plants, in a way that partnered with operations and other multi-functional partners.

  • Responsible for customer profitability - developed innovative solutions to justify price increases during volatile commodity markets.
  • Coordinated the business unit's Fine Arts Fund charitable program leading to 100% participation - one of only two businesses in P&G to receive 100% participation.
US ArmyCity , STATEEmbedded Tactical Trainer02/2007 to 05/2008
  • Served as a combat advisor to the Afghan National Army teaching their officers on the techniques of becoming a professional army (operations planning, logistics, intelligence, etc.).
  • Regularly operated in remote, heavily contested areas that inevitably led to close combat, which required decisive leadership, agility, and the ability to mitigate risk.
  • Took the initiative (as a side project to keep finance skills current) to develop a salary tracking system for the Afghan Army to bring more accountability to their payroll processes. The end product was usable in two languages (Farsi & English) and compatible with two date systems (Persian & Roman).
P&G, Home CareCity , STATECost Forecaster04/2005 to 01/2007
  • A difficult, crucible role for a new hire - illustrated by both my predecessor (with five years of experience) and my experienced replacement leaving P&G.
  • Managed a financial forecast of $1.2B across a wide range of products with different technologies - from dish soap to air fresheners. Critical to this role were close partnerships with Purchasing, Commercial Initiative Teams, and Plant F&A.
