Prepare the paver for daily operation. Equip the machine with the necessary components for automation. Analyze the location of the material and the daily load amount to set the pace of the paving crew. Cross train other members of the paving crew in all positions of a paving operation. Act as decision maker for the paving crew in the absence of the Crew Foreman.
Analyzed each day's task work in order to better anticipate the needs of that day's operation. Equipped the crew with the necessary tools for the task work at hand. Manipulated the screed according to differing transitions and cross slopes. Developed true and level packages to resolve highway imperfections.
This program will have prepared me for employment as a civil engineering technician with consulting engineering companies, construction companies, and governmental agencies. I will be studied in all phases of the construction industry, from planning and design of buildings, bridges, highways, commercial and industrial facilities, to management and inspection of the construction process.
