I was (and am) a physician in private practice in aesthetic and anti-aging (integrative) medicine. I have a strong interest in hormonal management and in herbal medicine. As a solo practitioner I was (and am) the owner and manager of the practice, the medical director of the practice and also the only physician in the practice.

As medical director I wrote all policies and procedures to establish medical and administrative best practices, oversaw and supervised all procedures, reviewed medical records, and oversaw all quality control. I oversaw all day-to-day practice functions including delivery of patient care, delivery of aesthetic treatments, medical/aesthetic and administrative staff, and business activities.

As owner/manager I led the startup and opening of the business and provided eco-friendly site design, business development, operational procedures and workflow planning; completed the interior design and obtained and placed furniture, rugs, accoutrements, and office equipment; researched and obtained the necessary furniture and equipment for exam rooms and an in-office operating room; hired and mentored the core startup team; evaluated and hired qualified candidates for open positions; developed and implemented educational programs for staff; provided staff training to ensure compliance with all local, state and national requirements and standards; provided staff training on specific operations, procedures, and techniques; supervised staff; set pricing structures according to market analytics and emerging trends; managed inventory and relationships with suppliers; monitored industry trends; continuously researched and chose functional and innovative devices for use in clinic; managed cost control issues; designed and implemented the business website; managed social media and other outreach and advertising opportunities; and provided educational programs to the community. I provided treatments including injectable fillers, neuromodulators, lasers (both ablative and non-ablative), IPL, sclerotherapy, ultrasound technology, radiofrequency technology, LED technology, photodynamic therapy, microdermabrasion, body contouring, and chemical peel technology.
