Summary

For the passed 12 years, I have balanced being a stay-at-home mom, and a business owner.  I have owned and operated Dream Cakes bakery as a busy home-based business. My responsibilities include customer service, baking and decorating cakes for all occasions, delivering orders, and the financial details of the business. Before Dream Cakes, I have been a secretary and front desk operator for a vehicle repair shop, book printing company, and doctor's office. In those jobs, I answered phones, dealt with customers/patients, took work orders, entered customer/patient information into the computer, and organized files on a daily basis.

As owner and operator of a specialty cake bakery, I work well under pressure, and can multitask. I have exceptional people skills, and I am very capable of learning new tasks quickly. I am able to type 70-80 wpm.

I am a self-taught cake baker and decorator.  I specialize in custom cakes for all occasions.  I am also in charge of all customer service, such as taking orders, emailing a cake design or quote, and meeting with customers at scheduled cake consultations.  Other requirements are cake deliveries, business finances, and meeting the necessary health department demands.

Book department receptionist Sword Of The Lord Publishing City, STATE,
As receptionist in the book department, I was in charge of answering calls for the whole department. I would transfer calls to specific departments, or talk with clients myself. I was responsible for data entry of book and subscription orders. I also had to file said orders once entered into the computer.  Furthermore, I took subscription orders from clients over the phone and on the computer.
10/2001 to 07/2003
Front office manager R.C. Automotive City, STATE,
My responsibilities with R.C. Automotive were many, including answering all calls, taking appointments, preparing invoices, doing payroll for the shop employees, and all other clerical duties of the office. I was trained to use special software for the billing and pricing of car repairs. Many times, I was asked to make parts deliveries or pick up items for the shop. As front desk manager, it was my duty to take as much responsibility from the owner as possible; to lessen his work load. I firmly believe in having a nice clean appearance, both in how I dress and also in how the office looked. I cleaned and maintained the office area and adjoining restrooms.
