Being equipped with academic experience, possessing methodical working and educational assiduity, I can assure you that I shall not cease to expose my capacities as a meaningful acquisition to fitting MZCA,s purpose, as I now do on a daily basis if I am selected to become MZCA's next principal. For many years at St. Petersburg College, Gibbs Campus, working as instructor of Basic Writing classes, Supervisor of the Learning Support Center, Counsel for registration, and designer of curriculum, and more, for over 14 years, I was a the directive of the then President of the college, Dr,. Carl Kuttler, Jr, I was promoted on the basis of my expertise to become Executive Office in charge of the the brand new beautiful Midtown Campus.

Also, during my during my ten years tenure at Midtown, along with a well-qualified team of educators and staff members, I was able to set in motion a strategic plan having to do with curriculum development and its application; in addition, I I put into effect class schedules conductive to our student population. At this same time of my employment, functioning as Executive officer, the trust and confidence that was afforded to me by the College Board of Trustees was once more shown when I was given a budget of over 13 million dollars of which I successfully managed while implementing budgetary constraints and always being able to work within these when necessary.

There are many more moments of which I am proud of but to numerous to mention here, I must say that one more which is an everlasting one will always remain in my heart is the surprise retirement gesture that the College President and the board of Trustees honored me with when they established "The Hildegarde Shirley Scholarship at the Midtown Campus, where each year in April, my retirement month, I am blessed to go back and reward two deserving students this scholarship.
