In Basic Military Training I was selected to be an Element leader. In Military Technical School I was chosen to be a student leader and completed Student leadership classes. I was promoted twice while in Technical school and attained the highest leadership position that was available for student leaders. In that position I was responsible for the 12 additional student leaders and approximately 500 students. At Airman Leadership school I was awarded the Leadership award. I later was selected to go to Airman leadership Instructor school and became an Instructor for the Regional states Airman leadership school which taught leadership and supervisory skills to first level supervisors in the Air National Guard from numerous states.
My education qualifications include but are not limited to 946.5 hours at Keesler Air Force Base in Basic electronics and troubleshooting, 10 semester hours at Lincoln High School in Applied Electronic Technology, 12 semester hours at southeast community college in the electronic technology program, 4 months in the local 165 Electrician apprenticeship program which included NEC code classes. I have a Bachelors of Science degree in Management from Bellevue University.
My experience includes but is not limited to 5 years at Sheldon Station a coal fired liquefied floor boiler with 2 units. Two years were as a Unit Operator in the control room, operating all plant systems and peripherals. I was a member of the Nebraska Air National Guard for a period of 12 years; the last 7 of those were served as an Aircrew member on the KC-135 as an In-flight refueling specialist. I have been employed by the Nebraska Public Power District for 15 years, 5 years at a coal fired power plant, 4 years as a Subtransmission and Distribution System Control Dispatcher, 4 years as a Subtransmission and Distribution Control Outage Coordinator, and the previous 2 years as the Subtransmission and Distribution Operator Team Leader. It is the combination of my previous education, and experiences and my Leadership training that I believe would culminate in a rewarding career as a Resource Dispatch and Trading Specialist.
In addition to my duties as the Team Lead, I am the SharePoint Site Administrator for the Control Center. I also write and manage many of the internal Processes and Procedures.
