Spearheaded a unit with 100 personnel and 50 pieces of road construction equipment to repair Highway 36 from Boulder to Lyons, Colorado. Project completed 6 weeks ahead of schedule. Evaluated 1,100 people for training, logistics and Human Resource to include initiating the hiring process, setting up interview boards and interviewing potential candidates. Established a 10 person staff team for a Department of Homeland Defense exercise to run statewide simulations of mock disasters including terrorist activities. Supervised 12 Chemical Support Teams from 7 different States. Facilitated the rotation of replacement units, monitored the communication between units, and tracked mission success. All exercise missions were completed on time and above the Department of Homeland Defense standards. Managed all aspects of the unit's budget including payroll, expense allotments, and Special Funds in a highly efficient manner. Closed out Fiscal Year 2012 in record time with 100% accuracy and no additional funds needed to finish training. Distributed and tracked $2.5 million of allotted ammunition among 12 sub-units for monthly training. Consistently achieved the 100% accountability requirement. Allocated $23 million of the School's training budget among 1,100 personnel, resulting in 93% being qualified at their individual jobs. Developed a software tracking system for training funds that cut revenue lose by 9%. It is now the Management's standard for all units. First Line Supervisor, United States Army, Colorado Springs, CO 2010 - 2011 Trained 120 personnel during Operation Iraqi Freedom, far exceeding the expectations of the Senior leadership. Successfully supported 460 personnel being assigned overseas during a 16 month assignment. Notified 5 families of the death of their loved one and assisted the families throughout the process as the Casualty Notification and Assistance Officer. Advised Senior Managers and First Line Supervisors on how to perform and execute yearly training. Tracked and managed maintenance for $1.25 million of unit equipment. Far exceeded State standards for correct accountability and tracking accuracy. Accountable for all logistics and financial accounting for meals during the monthly training exercises for 120 personnel.
