I started out working as a production operator back in 1980. The company I started my oil and gas career with was KerrMcGee Oil and Gas Corp. Over the ten years with KerrMcGee I developed skills and training within the field of production operation and maintenance mechanic. Now that I am working under BP employment, I have worked on some shore base operation projects, maintenance offshore and onshore, new platform commissioning, Traveled to different parts of the country in the US with the engineers to perform Facility Asset testing for new deep water equipment for the new Atlantis Deep Water Project, did new project startup work as a production technician, Train newer employees to operate the facility as they come aboard the Atlantis project for the first time.
Through out my oil and gas journey I have accomplished a wide variety of oil and gas knowledge, achievements and experience. I have taken on several large job tasks and had plenty of success with them on the outcome. I have gone above and beyond my basic job skills bringing my level of oil and gas knowledge to a new level. I would still like to venture off into even bigger and better projects in other parts of the world while working in the same field of expertise. I still feel as if I still have a lot to accomplish and a lot to offer in the near future in the deep water oil and gas industry.
I worked as a offshore Production operator, Maintenance Mechanic, Crane Operator, Rigger. Back then I came up working on the shelf inland water platforms, working with mainly oil production and very little gas production at that time. I was also involved with wire line work in which we had to do our selves at that time back in the day. I was also involved a lot with the running and launching of oil and gas pigs into oil and gas pipelines. I was also trained to operate several types of cranes back in the day as well. I came up on very old production equipment that I was trained on at that time. I was very interesting work being that was my first major offshore job that lasted ten years.
