,Labeled measured and recorded every individual air bag, once appropriate measurements were confirmed and logged both by hand and by computer a short desc label would print specifically with details and measurements for that individual air bag only, staple label to appropriate area on air bag, then placed one individual air bag on left hand side 625 plate clamping air bag firmly in place scanning barcodes printed on label wait for green light access sensor and then push start process button as well as pushing start on the computer screen which is attached to front of machine. Repeat all steps above on another air bag and place on the right hand side plate again clamping and pressing appropriate buttons to confirm air bag is ready and position air bag in holding area until the previous One is completely finished, after the machine is finished with each air bag u must unclamp airbag remove from plate take over to the embossing station where you scan barcode on label place air bag carefully in plate designed and measured to fit perfectly around the 625 airbags confirm air bag fits appropriately all the way around push emboss button which will stamp the air bag In four specific areas leaving a "L" mark in all four places once finished double check all embossing marks confirming they are present and placed in directed Placements once everything is completed look over air bag confirming quality is within necessary guidelines scan barcode one last time, this time it will print a 4x4 label with specific information regarding that specific airbag confirm all information including which program plate used what color of leather, correct time date and right or left hand then initial label tuck under air bag and place In pack out box with other completed airbags until you reach 25 airbags then you print label for pack out box and carry box to ship out racks. Lab tech also consisted of working alone at a very fast pace recording all necesscary logs into log books and computer, starting and shutting down all machines and computers completing needle changes appro every hour give or take, when the needle becomes to dull from puncturing the air bag while going thru the machine the machine will alert you when a needle change is getting close and again when the Needle has to be changed right at that time or the machine cannot process anymore airbags and needle change light will continue flashing. I then go to screen on the machine press needle change option on screen get my log books out fill In date and program name my initials how many airbags the previous needle processed what finishing percent the needle was at when machine stopped i then go behind the machine put gloves on open tool and material box attached to wall retrieve a new needle, tissue to assure needle is clean screw driver and flat board, then i open the back of the machine use screwdriver to loosen the needle drill slowly with flat board directly under and using opposite hand to gently pull the tool Out that holds the needle In place you then unscrew the tiny screw on side unclamping the old needle place old needle In hazard bin, grab new needle gently slide needle directly in the middle of the tool pushing it all the way up until it can no longer go any farther without touching the needle point, use opposite hand to retrieve screwdriver and tighten screw as tight as you can wipe needle tip off place tool back In the machine arm where it goes always keeping flat board directly under use screw driver to tighten the clamp on the tool once correctry placed remove flat board screw driver tissue and Any other objects out of machine grab air hose and directly spray needle tip and Face of the plate in machine assuring no dust particles or dirt are present shut the back of the machine place tools and materials back In material box going back to fronet of the machine where u willnow follow specific instructions on computer screen reporting needle change is complete and prepare for needle test run, get needle change tests for both right plate and left plate scan barcode on test which will give u a label to scan once test is clamped in appropriately then after scanning barcode start machine wait till finished remove test report starting needle tip percent on needle change logbook carefully look over test assuring needle went thru entire test on all pages and that appropriate needle marks are present exactly as directed because if they are not and you make a mistake every airbag that is put thru the machine until the next needle change will be considered a bad part and unable to fix which makes it scrap. If test is as it should be Record successful needle change in log book with all details required and start loading airbags In machine as usual if it was an unsuccessful needle change report details in log book have quality double check test confirming it is bad repeat steps from beginning of needle change all the way thru until change is successful. I was also responsible for filling printers changing out tools updating system software changing out airbag programs in both machines and computer logging everything necessary, making needle change tests for all programs ran by eismann switching out material correctly placing finished boxes in the correct pack out area, lifting, standing, moving at a fast pace consistently repeating a lot of the same thing through out the day running the lab for the entire shift by myself and cleaning my work area before and after my shift as well as organizing all material, parts, and logs most of the time working 12 hour shifts.
