In my role as office manager my responsibilities include but are not limited to, daily analyzation of financial reports from the days previous retail sales, resolving any discrepancies that my be present. I also balance cash deposits and perform safe counts as well as input all related financial data into the stores specific accounting software. Financial data that I deal with within my position involves all store sales, generating invoices to be paid by the stores bookkeeper by reporting sold inventory to the appropriate vendors, as well as billing and crediting customers when nessecary. A large part of my position involves accurately and efficiently placing special orders for a wide variety of jewelry and specialty gift merchandise. The act of placing special orders involves dictating items specific style numbers and codes to the appropriate vendor or company via email, telephone and website submissions. When special orders arrive in store, I enter all of the information about the products including pricing, and detailed descriptions into our stores inventory software. Once an item is input, a unique item number is generated by our software program and I then pair the newly stocked item with the correct guests paperwork and contact them for pick up of their purchase. I am responsible for maintaining all necessary office supplies in order to ensure that all employees have the right tools to perform their jobs to the best of their abilities.
